Finding New Goals

How could you set a goal to climb a mountain if you didnt know mountains exist? Or really what they are or what the path might be?

Tricky, right?

Goals are like this!!

So often we are encouraged to have a goal, set a goal, smash a goal. But many people first haven't had a lot of practice tuning into their values and therefore goals. So that makes it tricky.

But another huge problem is having no clue what's possible. Not even limiting beliefs (ie - believing it's possible for some but not for us)

... no, the step away from that... the one where we know we want something but just can't think what it could be.

And for fixing that, we have to experience new things, meet new people, hear new perspectives...

in the tech age it's so much easier, if we know what we're looking for, to have these experiences and broaden our horizons

but also sometimes it takes walking into a room and witnessing.

This week at Blue Earth Summit I've well and truly cleared some clouds from some mountains, and time will tell how these new impact goals play out.

For now, thanks to all the people who shared their insights in rooms I encountered.

And paying it forward to you... What can you aim for if you only know it's there??

... to make that a tiny bit more practicable... tune into your values, then follow your instinct, or as one of my clients puts it, follow your joy 💚
